Much Ado About “Carriers”?

Our staff member Sandy noticed these wall writings while playing the demo earlier. Most wall writings are frivolous; at most, they might talk about some of the locations the Survivors are about to visit, but otherwise, they seem to be largely trivial. These writings, however, discuss carriers. In medicine, an asymptomatic carrier is “a person or organism infected with an infectious disease agent, but displaying no symptoms.” For instance, if you’ve seen 28 Weeks Later, the mother is a carrier.
The military seems to be relegating these individuals and ferrying them off before the others. This could either be a simple flavoring added to the game to enhance realism or a deliberate clue placed in the game to hint at the game’s lore. So far, Valve has been mum about the nature of the outbreak. This may foreshadow future content that gives us a better look at the infection and how governments are handling it.
It also makes us wonder if the Survivors in both games are carriers, and if the military’s policies will affect them after rescue. Food for thought.

Y’know, this would make perfect sense especially after Crash course, where the helicopter pilot mysteriously becomes infected after picking up the survivors.
@Chicago Ted
That could definitely have something to do with it, though I think that perhaps the chopper pilot contracted the infection before picking up the Survivors from Mercy Hospital. He mentions an “incident” partway through the finale that causes him to be delayed.
I agree with Elunah here. But we still dont know how they get from the boat in Death Toll to the green house or the plane in Dead Air to the cliffs, so maybe Ted’s theory works for one of those levels.
the chopper pilot THOUGHT one of the infected got him so it could be that the survivors infected him… Dam
Yeah, I also remember watching a video of chet and he said something along the lines of people thinking that the pilot sounded infected on the radio, he said that they were right, he was infected.
Which makes me think he was infected before he picked up the survivors.
I hope all of this is correct… we need more l4d story based crap!
